Meet the Team

Aaron Salisbury - Fixed Operations Director

Aaron has had an interest in cars since the age of eleven. His endeavor into the mechanical world began as a motorcycle mechanic from 1978 until 1980. He entered the world of General Motors as a GM Dealer Automotive Technician in 1980 and specialized in Automatic Transmissions and trouble-shooting electrical components. He joined the Gwatney team in 1983. Aaron is one of only 623 GM Master Technicians that was honored nationally in 1984. He was promoted to Shop Foreman in 1986 and promoted to Service Manager in 1989. In 1990 he graduated from the University of Automotive Management and became the director of Fixed Operations in 1992. To this day Aaron performs in that capacity - overseeing all aspects of the dealership that do not directly involve the sales of new/used automobiles - including service department, paint and autobody repair. He was one of the core founders of Gwatney Performance Innovation in the 1990s.
He enjoys the challenge of modifying mechanical and electrical devices to improve their performance - and spends his spare time sailing, snow skiing and cycling.

Ryan Stevens - Head Calibrator at Gwatney Performance Innovation

Performance tuning is literally in Ryan's blood. He eats and sleeps horsepower and his contributions towards our custom ground camshafts is literally invaluable. He started his machine shop training back in 1994 and worked his way up to Service Manager at a large boat dealership after attaining certifications as a Technician for Can-Am, Yamaha, Polaris, Mercury and Mercruiser. He spent four years as Service Manager and achieved the Cam Am mastertech level and Yamaha Silver level tech certifications. In this hobby time away from the Powersports world - Ryan was cutting his teeth in the GM, LS-building world. He was doing calibration work and dyno testing for the street racing world - and longed for a place to use those talents full time. He started at Gwatney Performance Innovation in 2012 - and has put those talents to full use.

He can currently Spec customer builds, build Spec custom camshafts and calibrate for both in-house projects and others worldwide. He loves Blue-printing and building engines and 6180 transmissions. He also upgrades and builds rear differentials, drivelines and suspensions. Ryan is more than qualified on everything front to back on LSx based GM cars and is a all around GM LSx performance specialist.
